My sculptures primarily use materials such as, alfalfa seed, books, detritus, globes, maps, matches, and zippers for example, which the viewer will recognize for their utilitarian qualities or lack of usefulness. Planting seeds into straw pulp or altered books, redacting existing text, crumpling pages from a phone book, or slicing a book into strips and reconfiguring the materials, for example, editorializing my viewpoints on various social and political issues on global events.

Installations are the synthesis of language, architecture and sculpture. Working with a variety of materials, both organic and manufactured, I integrate them into various installations that reference current political and social issues.
