Participants in this installation begin by washing away the virus of hatred, cleansing the insidious and institutionalized pandemic of “othering”. Those who wash the slurs from the bars of soap publicly proclaim that they too are working to eradicate hate speech — a form of pandemic that has been perpetuated from generation to generation.
