The title, ‘Pixelated’ is inspired from the movie, Mr. Deeds Goes to Washington (1939) where Jimmy Stewart is accused of being, "pixelated". The original book is a guided picture tour of the US which is cut into strips and stacked on top of one another. They are a cross section of America as if seeing the country in a speeding car and never stopping to appreciate the unique characteristics of a particular view. Pixelated also refers to a broken image from details lacking in definition.
