gelatin silver print
4 x 9 ft.
The forty-five sections of photographs were taken one afternoon in 1996 in Palm Springs, California. Consequently it was archival printed in my darkroom and framed in 2004. Each panel is enlarged from one negative then reconfigured or collaged using additional shots to extend the scene as an expanded landscape. The inconsistent proportions to the physical property creates a fictional landscape that has little resemblance to the actual building and foliage. A few years later the Yucca tree was removed by the landscaping crew.
