As a child I played with interlocking plastic blocks or Legos. Interlocutors works in the same way, using carved-up books instead of hollow plastic to construct architectural forms. With a scroll saw books are cut into squares, rectangles, and U shapes which interface with one another in new conjunctions and penetrations. Not only are these re-sculpted objects physically interchangeable but the interplay of titles hints at the generation of new narrative combinations, different interlinked stories, unexpected intertexts.
